Two Major Foreign Policy Challenges for the US – Iran and Ukraine – What to Expect in the Next Few Months.

Lawrence Silverman completed a 35-year U.S. Foreign Service career in 2019 as the U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait. Amb. Silverman was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, responsible for Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and Palestinian affairs and served as the Vice President’s Advisor for Europe and Russia. He is now a Distinguished Professor at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech and Senior Advisor at the Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington. Larry has mentored students from Georgia Tech, Duke University, and his high school, Boston Latin School.

Dr. Jacek Lubecki is Professor of Political Science and International Studies at Georgia Southern University. His Ph.D. in International Studies is from the University of Denver. He specializes in comparative politics, East-Central European studies, Middle Eastern Studies, and military history and defense policy. He recently co-authored (with James Peterson) Globalization, Nationalism and Imperialism. A New History of Eastern Europe (Central European University Press, 2023).

Dr. Matthew Flynn is a Professor of International Studies and Sociology at Georgia Southern University. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin, Masters in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Social Science, and BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
