Dr. Dwyer retired to Savannah in 2020, having held academic positions at Columbia University and the Graduate Center/ Hunter College, CUNY. Prior to taking an academic job, she held research positions as Nomura Securities in New York and at the Bank of Japan and the Japan Development Bank in Tokyo. Dr. Dwyer holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University. She has been an active volunteer on Skidaway Island, serves as a first responder, and loves being outdoors.
