Ambassador (ret.) Alice Wells, served as U.S. Ambassador to Jordan. She left the Foreign Service after postings in Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Moscow, and having held positions such as director of Egypt and North African Affairs, Special Assistant to the President for Russia and Central Asia in the White House, and Acting Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, before becoming Ambassador. She currently serves as a government relations advisor at Exxon.
