Your membership is important!

Your membership fees constitute our largest source of funding and provide a stable, predictable financial basis supporting our mission of encouraging greater interest in and knowledge about world affairs across all generations.

We pursue this mission primarily through our monthly speakers’ program and Great Decisions discussion groups, as well as our bringing speaker-experts into local schools and funding scholarships for study abroad and other student activities that contribute to the next generation’s development of a clearer understanding of the role of the U.S. in the world. 

SCWA’s modest membership fees cover costs directly associated with these activities, such as travel, lodging, and facilities charges, as well as our minimal operational expenses. Help us continue these efforts by purchasing a SCWA Annual Membership for yourself, family, or friends. Additional membership benefits are detailed on our website.

All membership categories include free admission to SCWA speaker programs, the opportunity to participate in our Great Decisions discussion groups, and the option to sign-up for a subsidized subscription to The Global Post. SCWA membership also includes eligibility to participate in WACA’s annual National Conference, to register for WACA monthly webinars, and to access WACA discounts on select foreign-affairs related subscriptions and publications. Finally, as SCWA members, you can and take the opportunity to travel internationally with the Philadelphia Council’s programs.
