As we mark the 80th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day, Ambassador Philip Reeker will bring us fresh perspectives on U.S.-Europe relations just one day after returning from his latest visit to Europe. Whether it’s Ukraine, the West’s competition with China and Russia, tariffs and trade, and the unprecedented defense and security challenges facing the transatlantic alliance, Ambassador Reeker will offer his timely insights and views on the future of these issues from years in key roles within our country’s top foreign policy circles. Come hear what Europe is thinking about the U.S. right now and what the U.S. is thinking of Europe.

Ambassador Reeker retired from the U.S. Foreign Service in 2023, after a distinguished career that included positions as Acting Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia; Charge d’Affaires of our Embassy in the United Kingdom; the Secretary of State’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations; and U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia. Before these positions, Amb. Reeker served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central Europe, the Balkans and Holocaust Issues, and as Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department. Ambassador Reeker is currently a Partner and Lead of the Europe and Eurasia Practice at the DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington, D.C.
